    Hi,

Currently have a HP Pavilion ze5531EA Laptop, and am looking to replace it.

The main use for the laptop is internet via wireless, word processing, and downloading & storing songs (itunes) and storing pictures. Fairly basic stuff.

The current 80GB laptop still has over 40GB free, so that will let you know how much use it gets.

Any recommendations or bargains you know of out there ?

I checked the Dell outlet and found the following Insprion:

    System Identifier: D0W75T5W
    System Price EUR 345.34
    • Operating System: English - Vista Home Premium
    • Memory: 1024MB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (2x512)
    • Hard Disk Drive: Hard Drive 80GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM)
    • NoteBook Screen: 15.4 Wide Screen XGA TFT Display: 1280x800
    • Network Interface Card: European - Dell Wireless 1390 802.11b/g 54Mbps Mini-PCI Wireless Card
    • CD Read-Write Drive: DVD+/-RW 8X
    • Software: English - Microsoft Works 8
    • MISC: 65W AC Adapter
    • Inspiron Resource DVD - Vista (Diagnostics & Drivers
    • UK/Ire - (QWERTY) - Internal Keyboard
    • Insprion 1501 Turion
    • 4 Cell 29WHr Primary battery

    Any thought's ? or Recommendations ?

    Thanks !

Cpu and ram are fine with windows xp....2gb is nice to have with vista, but not essential either as it still runs fine with 1gb when doing basic stuff....

The only thing I would change for a basic user (word, itunes, music, videos etc) would be a better battery if your going to be taking it places...The 6 cell Lithium-Ion Battery is an extra 10...

Yeah bummer :( I'm to slow...........

Tried using the Dell online chat today, chancing my arm, but got nowhere fast. They could not even confirm that the offer was 360 yesterday  or offer my anything to match it

They did say their new promotions kick in every Thursday so looks like I will need to keep my eyes pealed !
