Interesting. The first Lost Experience claimed that Oceanic had gone bust shortly after the crash. But this was totally contradicted by Jack's flash-forward last season in which they are obviously still in business. Given LE's rather tenuous canon status (the writers tiptoed around the subject with great care) I wonder if this is perhaps just an attempt by ABC to patch up the previous LE's claim to canon in case they decide to do another one down the road.

I never got into this Lost Experience thing...by the OP I get the impression that it's over and the whole point is that it looks like there's going to be a second Lost Experience? Well just wondering what was the first one like? Did anyone follow it? I remember briefly looking at The Hanso website but it was a bit weird..and not the good Lost weird..the only thing that I could see related to the show was the use of the word 'namaste'.

^What?! They explained the numbers? So you know the origin of the numbers? Why they're cursed? Why they're on the hatch? etc. That's mad.

So when it's explained in the actual show it's going to be such an anti-climax for you!

The significance of the numbers isn't going to be explained in the show - if you want to know what they're about, you'll have to look for the Sri Lanka video on YouTube.

The Numbers: wont be explained on the show tptb have said but if ya want to know read ahead, from lostpedia
The Valenzetti Equation is the mathematical equation developed by the reclusive Princeton University mathematician Enzo Valenzetti. Its creation was the result of efforts made following the Cuban Missile Crisis by the United States and the Soviet Union to find a solution to the hostility and danger of imminent global disaster created by the Cold War. The equation was secretly commissioned through the UN Security Council and is used to predict the time of human extinction.

Unknown man writing the Valenzetti Equation on a chalkboard in the Sri Lanka VideoAccording to the 1975 orientation film in the Sri Lanka Video, the Valenzetti Equation "predicts the exact number of years and months until humanity extinguishes itself." In it, Alvar Hanso also states that the radio transmitter on the Island, will "broadcast the core numerical values of the Valenzetti Equation." The numbers, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, are explained in the Sri Lanka Video, as the numerical values to the core environmental and human factors of the Valenzetti Equation. Alvar Hanso also states in the video that the purpose of the DHARMA Initiative is to change the numerical values of any one of the core factors in the equation in order to give humanity a chance to survive. However, Thomas Mittelwerk reveals that as of 2006, they have failed to change the values through manipulating the environment, as the equation continues to arrive at the same six numbers. It is unknown how or if the most recent calculation of the equation is automatically reflected in the radio transmissions.

Rachel Blake also learned that the Hanso Foundation was forcing savants at the Vik Institute in Iceland to run the equation over and over. Somehow, five hieroglyphic symbols were involved in the calculations (Armand Zander described them as "representative"), the same hieroglyphs seen on the countdown timer in the Swan station.

The Blast Door Map included a reference to the equation; a zone on the island is marked as being of "low relevance to Valenzetti-related research activity".

Just spotted a 'blink and you'll miss it' Oceanic Airlines ad on Sky.
It showed one of them cards with instructions for what to do in a crash.
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, etc were in the pictures as well as a Dharma logo.
Interestingly it showed Locke jumping out the plane's emergency exit.
    Clue?

No, it's not a clue. Sky do this all the time in the run up to a season premiere. It's essentially a 'sting' or 'mini promo' to remind you that Lost is back soon.

They've now started running a full promo ad for Oceanic Airlines themselves with the url www.flyoceanicair.com at the end. My girlfriend even asked me, "so.. what, that's a real airline now?".

Yeah, I've seen a good few of these type of ads.
They usually originate from Lost itself.
Some are fake, some are genuine.

It did seem strange that it showed Locked going to jump out the door of the plane though.

    Yes.

By the way - it's "Locke", not "Locked".

Ok I know this has been said before but how do you know they're not gonna explain the numbers later on in the show? In fairness, it's a pretty big thing!

The individual meaning of the numbers probably won't be explained in the show but there's certainly more to be revealed about them, especially regarding their use in the Swan computer, Hurley's lottery win, Leonard/Danielle hearing them in radio transmissions, etc. But fans expecting some scientific or paranormal explanation for why the numbers show up all over the place will probably be disappointed. A lot of the early theories revolved around the numbers so there's a big attachment to them.
