What makes the pound for pound champion? Is it the calibre of people he beats or the longest he has held the belt etc.

Also is it possible to come up with a pound for pound all time champ

Pound for pound should simply mean the best there is, in my opinion mayweather is the p4p best right now, all time, Marciano, louis, Ali, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Chavez, robinson the list goes on! mine changes all the time, Ali for today! :D

A pure fictitious and unprovable list is P4P.....

The great fighters are those who were the legitimate champions of their
    time, period....

If I were forced to try and pick the sports alltime P4P greatest I would lean
towards a peak Clay/Ali......I can't think of any other man capable of
doing what he could do, standing 6 feet 3 and weighing 15 stone....

He was moving and punching faster than most welters....
