    Hi All

dont know if this is the right area to put this problem in.....feel free to move it mods if it isnt....

Anyway, I have a built in ford bluetooth in my 06 Focus. There was a problem with the battery so it was taken out and put back in again. From there the radio had to be reset. However since then the bluetooth wont work at all.. I cant even turn on the voice control to check anything.

    Has anyone any suggestions......

    Thanks a million

    T.

    Hi Tazzer

Remove fuse 58 and 83 and then reinsert in order of 58 then 83. 58 is the stereo fuse and this sometimes needs resetting in addition to your BT kit. (Hopefully you should not need to re-enter your stereo pin as the security power cable will not have been affected by the removal of this fuse). Make sure you have it available though...just to be safe.

The fuses and fuse map are under the glove box

Worked perfectly despite the dealer saying the problem would require a day in the workshop:mad::mad:

I suspect it was not knowing rather than anything else as it was a cost free drop in because the dealer caused the issue!!

You WILL need the keycode, available from the original Ford dealer with a few details.

I was having the exact same issue. Bluetooth just stop working and the voice commands weren't working.

Did exactly as you mentioned with the fuses and it is now working again. I had to enter the radio security code though, so you defo need it.

    Thanks sneaky!

Not having the bluetooth kit was really p1ssing me off for the past few days :p

    Hi,

I have the same problem in a 2007 focus however I don't have the fuse numbers mentioned. Could anyone give me an idea of what fuses 58 and 83 do so that I can find the relevant fuses in my car? My fuses start from 1 - 36 and 100 - 143

    Thanks for the help

Go to "BT" in the radio menu and switch it on. Then search on the phone for the stereo "Ford Audio" and hit connect on the phone.

    Ah right. Sorry.

There should be a little button on top of the steering control. give it a tap and it should offer you voice response options.

If not, see the above fuse reboot sequence.

    No problem - you're welcome.

My OH doesn't use the voice control so I haven't tried it.

Apologies for bumping an old thread but I have a similar problem to the OP.
I've just bought a '06 focus. Got the bluetooth thing working with my Sony ericsson k800i. When somebody rings - i can answer it and talk via the radio.
However - the voice commands don't seem to work. When i press the voice button near the steering wheel, the radio displays VOICE and there's a beep but that's it. It doesn't respond to any commands, radio, phone or anything.
Would pulling the fuses reset the voice command? or is there a more simple way?
Any help on this would be great.....

The manual has a diagram of the fuse box and what each fuse is used for. It does for my 06 model amyway.

    and there lies the Problem!
Although the original answer mentioned 58(Which is NOT in the newer Focus) as the Stereo fuse, he did not mention what fuse 83 was for.
Bluetooth is not mentioned at all in the owners handbook of the newer focus!
Our fuses are numbered from 100- 143.
