    Looking for a satnav system.

    Will be used in Ireland (and France occasionaly), new to satnavs so not sure where to start
    What features should I look out for, what makes to avoid etc

    Saw this one on maplins;

    Are there any good deals on satnavs in the sales

    Thanks

    Garmin Nuvi 250 seems a popular choice. Has pretty decent Irish maps, and covers Europe. About €200 in most stores, with the 250W model having a wider screen.

    Most people say Garmin are that bit better then TomTom, but not by a wide margin afaik.
