I see it's 9am in Florida OP. Bet the excitement kept you awake all night and your post is the first thing you did this morning. I am thrilled for you. Really.

1st post is the best. People sit up and take notice. They ask themselves "who is this exciting new talent?"

Then you have the "difficult second post" in which you try top your previous effort and get taken seriously by the community at large, proove it wasn't a fluke. Most fail in this regard and just go back to their normal everyday lives. Some succeed and become regulars.

For those who meet the grade the rewards are numerous. You start to feel good about yourself. Confident and cocky. You think you can take on the world and produce something meaningful in this life. A body of work that will one day become your legacy.

But then you get a taste of the highlife. Soon your posts become sloppy, slapdash and generic. You're just throwing them out there to meet your quota and any former noble ideas of innovation or quality control are soon disregarded in exchange for the fame and fortune being a regular affords you.

Before long it's just a lot of drunken 3am posts that are met with scorn and punishment. You don't know whether it's night or day anymore. When not drunkenly ranting the rest of your day is taken up with cocaine, loose women and m+m's til one day you wake up looking like Jim Morrison circa 1969 and you ask yourself "How did it come to this?".

In a moment of clarity you activate the search function and find that first post of yours way-back-when. You marvel at in disbelief that you were once so wide-eyed and innocent. That's when thoughts of ending it all come to the fore.....

    A cautionary tale Mr.51!
