Hello all, I was wondering if anyone here would have any knowledge about an open alternative to Microsoft project? I need the same basic functionality but its kind of important that it can open the same file types as project. I'm having a little trouble finding one that confirms it can do this. Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone here would have any knowledge about an open alternative to Microsoft project? I need the same basic functionality but its kind of important that it can open the same file types as project.

I'm having a little trouble finding one that confirms it can do this.

Hi SDoom,

I use OpenProj as it is fully compatible with MS Project 2003 files:

Another one (if you're using Unix) is Planner (used to be called Mr. Project), although I don't know if it can read/write MS files.
