    Hey,

I'm looking to take up sax but I'm a rookie on the subject. I've played some piano and guitar before but never used sheet music. Does anyone know if it's tough to pick up and stick with? So far I've only seen lessons in Waltons, I'm living on the Northside, any suggestions for teachers? Finally would it be advisable to get a new or second hand sax, Waltons have one for €600.

    Cheers

    P

The Abbey School of Music, on Lwr. Abbey St. (go figure :p) have Sax lessons. I go there for bass lessons. :)

Here's their website with all the relevant contact details.

I've no idea how much the Sax lessons are but the bass lessons are reasonable, I'd rather not discuss the pricing here. You're best ringing them. I think place opens back up from Wednesday.
