How to download photos

    Hi all

    This is going to soundreally dumb but here goes anyway. I´m travelling around the world with my recently purchased Canon EOS 30d but i didn´t bring the software that i think i need to download photos. ANybody know how i can do this

    Won't windows just pick it up as an external device and you can just copy your photos across?

    I never use any of the software that comes with cameras...

    just stick the CF card in a memory card reader and copy the image files

    Thats what mine does. Adds a new drive to My Computer. All you need to take is the USB cable or a USB card reader

    Thats the best solution. I'd imagine any internet cafe you'd stroll into these days would have card readers built into the pc's or at least have a card reader available for use.
