    Funds Quantity Price ..........................................................Estimation ...Profit/Loss
Funds of Shares 512.08 EUR 107.90- EUR
    MLIIF JAPAN OPPORTUNITIES A2 € ACC. 5.3465 S 27.6 EUR 147.54 EUR 72.45- EUR
    OPPENHEIM IRISH OPPORTUNITIES FUND 410.5263 S 0.888 EUR 364.54 EUR 35.45- EUR

This is my certain situation where the two combined funds are worth 512euro at a loss of 107,
I would like to sell these funds now, as i am worried about losing more money on these, can you offer me any advice?
    thank you.

If it's gone below your sell limit, then I suggest you sell asap.

If you're going to invest in shares you have to appreciate that the price can go up and down. Most investments outside of ultra-safe investments are like that, so you are taking on increased risk with the aim of getting a higher return. While it's too late for you now, if you don't understand what you're doing I wouldn't recommend anyone buys any investment.

Japan I would 100% get rid of, the Irish fund might be worth holding onto but I would say they will not perform nearly as good as some of the other available funds.

If it was my money I would sell them both, purchase €300 worth of Chinese Equities and €212 worth of Blackrock World Mining.

Blackrock World Mining was the best performing fund in Europe last year with 61% growth...

Do some reasearch on the funds, check the charts - some funds always dip at regular times of the year only to bounce back later. Check the future prospects for news - the is no future news and it's a stead decline best out. Decide on that not on the loss, it's too late for that.

Here's my aproach to trading, I'm no expert but I've found this works well for me.

Research the stock, be confident in the managment and the future story. When you've decided to buy set a date to sell and two seperate prices at which you will concider selling at anytime. Price A the profit you want to make and price B the loss you are prepared to pay for being wrong. When you get to the date you set re-evaluate the share and act on that. Don't fall in love with stocks and don't expect you got to be right. The are always lots more stocks to try if you jump off one only to see it rise.

If you are not too confident in a stock spilt up you investment. If you are looking at a stock priced at 50p. Buy at 50p but only 1/5th at that price. Then set four more buys two at 40p and 45p, and two at 55p and 60p.

This keeps your loss position down and means you only need a rise of 10%to break even if the share drop 20%. Where as all in at 50p would result in a loss position of 20%. That a long way back.

    KO.
