    Hi all,

I know that the ATM machines in the airport before you go through security dispense Euro, Sterling and Dollar... but does anyone know if the machines after you pass through security (in the Duty Free area) dispense them too? I meant to check last time I was there, but I clean forgot - help!

    Cheers

I believe they do, but I'm not 100%. I vaguely recall seeing a sign saying that they do, but I never bothered to use one (There's always a queue)

I'm not sure if the ones after security are multi-currency though :)

The location of the ones on the left-hand side of departures has moved to the back wall. Pretty sure they are no longer multi-currency.

Dragging an old thread up I know but thought it better than posting a fresh one, does anyone know if there's still an ATM that dispenses US Dollars in Dublin Airport?
Have only ever used the one to the far right of arrivals & dont remember such a service

Stuck because I dont get paid till a few hours before Im due to fly out on the 30th & dont want the hassle of changing over there / the rip off of using airport bureau de change kiosks

There is definitely one in T2 that dispenses dollars and sterling. It is located airside under the escalators that take you up to Burger King.

Lovely stuff, thanks! Am flying with Delta out of Terminal 2

Anyone know if it's a standard bank rate or special "airport atm" rate where you'd get hopped off?
Was never even aware of such ATMs in Dublin airport till a workmate mentioned it earlier

Bumping this because I'd also like an answer to the above question: what is the exchange rate for dollars in the airport ATM?

Last time I looked, the ATMs in the airport were installed by some third party company which means you will get royally screwed if you use them, avoid at all costs. If you want foreign currency, get it from an ATM in the airport when you arrive.

I can't do that as I'm going to a country that doesn't use dollars but I need dollars!

Check the rates available over the counter in AIB, BoI and the post office, do not leave it until you get to the airport.

If you must use cash then do as above.

If you must change at the airport then pre-book for collection at the exchange bureau in the landside of T1 and T2 at DUB.

ICE are the crowd that operate the Bureau, their rates are a little worse than an post but not terrible, about 5% off interbank rate.

Those rates are "discount" for pre-booking, the rates they offer to walk-up customers in the airport will be much worse, they don't publish these rates online.

I wouldn't use those Raphael Bank machines; sometimes they don't dispense the cash but your account is debited and you have to go through a rigmarole starting by calling Raphael's in London.
