I'm now 35 and can't drink like i used to...

in my 20's i could go out on a good nights drinking, wake up next day and be good to go at it again....

as i got older late 20s the situation changed slightly and now if i go out on a good session...(ie out from about 8 until 1 or so) i'm not right for at least another 2 days afterwards.

when i say that i'm 'not right' i mean tiredness and no hangover....even though i get a good 8 hrs sleep no problem, i would suffer from serious tiredness!! is my body trying to tell me something ? is there something else up with me maybe ?

If your in your 20s /30s and going out drinking every night after work or drinking 5 /6 nights a week, you can expect to have some physical, mental and financial problems as you get older .

Take it to the personal issues forum or else grow a pair of balls and deal with it.

I don't buy into this theory that once you hit a certain age you can't handle the sessions anymore.

I think it's just that people in their mid30's probably have more on their plate to deal with (career/work/family etc) and are running on empty by the time pubtime comes around,. Compare this to 20-somethings who are invariably student wasters or doing some other piss easy job that requires little energy. No wonder they can hack it better.

Anyway, must get back to my good friend Jim Beam now. Toodle-pip.

    Strongly disagree Pigman.
Early to mid twenties it starts to hit you. Maybe not all of us, but a lot. And it's a pain in the hole.

There's something wrong with this Thread, the older i get, the less effect Drinking has on me, i can drink more and more as i get older, i haven't had a bad Hangover in years, not even after 12 cans of Stella and 3 bottles of Red Wine.

I'm getting older with every drink. I'm even getting older without the drink, unless we can get some balanced input here from someone who is getting younger this is all one-sided speculation.

When I'm really drunk I tend to go for younger wimmens....does that count ?
