The 42" TV was in the Letterkenny store for €699 this morning. I didnt notice any signs up about further discounts. But then again i was buying anything so I could have missed them.

They'd 20 or so of the SEG 42" in Clearwater tonight for €699. Are they a decent enough TV? I've not heard of SEG.

    I saw a 26" Bush TV too, for €499 I think.

@msg11, do you have it hooked up to sky or ariel or ntl etc if you don't mind me asking, connected via hdmi or scart or component?
I've trailed the net and found nothing on this model....

That datasheet says that the TV is 1080p - is that the correct price e499 plus 30% back seems very cheap for a 32" 1080p LCDTV

    Is that with a stand?

Is that €499 including the 30% back in Clubcard Vouchers; or €499 plus an extra 30% back in Clubcard Vouchers? If it's an extra 30% back that's a pricetastic €349.30 (minus the Clubcard Vouchers.) I think that's the cheapest I've seen for a 32".

have not read the link but "they" do not make 32" 1080P tvs, impossible to differentiate at 32" between 1080i and 1080p, more likely this TV can display a 1080p source if its switched to 1080i

Can we confirm if this is new years eve?

At 32" if you're close enough and the resolution is there you should be able to differentiate as much as with a bigger set. Of course it's not a 1080p lol

The tv says it accepts 1080p, so that means it can accept it and display it. It going to be scaled down to 720/768p or whatever the native res is though

Anyone have any experience, good or bad with Mirai tv's, don't xtravision do these too

Maybe though there is now a sale anyway in Tesco but I think the one on new year is to do with the 30% points back to be given back in Feb. On TV's electricial/Ipods etc I think. Can't recall when hear the ad I am driving so forget details

It started at midnight-is in the Sunday Independent. Tesco Clarehall have loads of 42" Philips; loads of Bush and very few SEG's. Tesco Artane have no Philips; loads of Bush and two Mirai 32" left as of ten minutes ago. At 9pm they had two Seg's on a separate shelf but at 00:02 one was no where in sight and one was being held behind the counter in the name of *****. Bang out of order in my opinion and even worse as I was buying for a children's home and now the kids have to settle for a Mirai 32" as I could not afford the Philip's. Great offer Tesco but bummer holding stock for who know's who!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've trailed the net and found nothing on this model....

Have to hooked up too the ntl digital, via scart. Theres two ports.. and a good few ports for audio out etc... Also a HDMI, port too. Sound is good on its own..

On the other hand, I got mine as soon as it came in off the truck, I work for tesco.. Went in the back and took the middle one off the pallet.

In work today, I seen the a PERSON man handling the box. Tesco have a no quibble thing, unlike dunnes etc... so if there is a problem, you can have your money back no problem or a replacement set.

ALSO too AD, 30% back on your clubcard... For today only as of Midnight...

    EDIT;

30 I have reason too believe they may have some out the back..

Again, nothing was happening in the Tesco Jervis shopping centre.

I asked the staff if they do 30% points back on Ipods, the answer was 'i don't think so.'

They have signs all over that they are giving it back on iPods - HOWEVER in stock:

    Midleton 8 & 16 GB touch only
Mahon Point - Nano and Shuffle only
Douglas - Not doing them at all.

Why do Tesco bother? Should have done it on TVs only, loads of them around.

More than likly limited stock, as I dont think Ipods are a big seller for tesco, and the 30% back is also on TV's . :)
