Im just wondering where the best place in Dublin (preferably south-side) to get a whole exhaust sytem fitted (from manifold, all the way back).

I have a whole sports sytem for a cinq sporting, the manifold needs to have a flange welded onto it to fit the standard cat and then all of it to be fitted along with midsection + backbox etc

Where would the best place to get this done, my local garage said they wouldnt be able fit as they cant do the welding work :(

went into a fast fit and advanced pitstop and they only fit exhaust systems if they supply them.

Does anyone know of an exhaust place that dont mind doing a bit of welding and fitting a whole exhaust system from manifold all the way back?

Today I went looking for the chap mentioned below. The business is called Auto Exhausts. He moved his workshop about a year ago, across to Stannaway Drive (off Stannaway Road) in Crumlin, Dublin 12. His name is Billy, and the phone number is 01 405 9812. He offered to patch the holes in my Punto's exhaust or replace it on the spot - I got the whole lot (from the catalytic converter back) replaced for under 100 quid which seems like a good price to me. Shame that he didn't seem busier, maybe people can't find him now he's shifted? If you're still looking for work done he'd be your man.

hi, i have a mate bought an exhaust back box (a 'sports' muffler), found it really hard to get someone that didnt just supply and fit only.
We found car fit in clondalkin does not require you to purchase off them. he got it done and my brother since then. they are in phone book

Best way to find out would be to call Billy - 01 405 9812. While I was there a mechanic from another garage brought in a modded car for exhaust work. It just seems like the sort of place that could and would do custom work, rather than the franchise parts sellers-and-fitters.

If you don't have any luck with Auto Exhausts maybe try Coby Autos on 01 4591308, e-mail cobyautos@hotmail.com. They are down a driveway that comes off Naas Road (on the same side as the Red Cow hotel, look for their yellow sign on the side of a 2-storey building as you come up to the roundabout). I'm fairly sure they do all their own exhaust work. I got my car sorted there when it failed emissions on its NCT because they specialise in exhausts. If they won't do the work they'll probably recommend someone who will. Good luck.

Hi there, not sure if you got sorted but if you're still stuck you could try Coyne Autos in Tallaght. Imported a 93 mr2 with a noisy single exhaust so went back to the original exhaust minus the cat (not needed on pre 94 to pass the nct). They fitted everything no problem.
