    Hi Guys,
I'm 16 and currently working as a Christmas Temp Sales Assist. in a large store in Dublin City Centre.
My contract is up on the 6th Jan and I was wondering if you guys have any tips for a job paying over €9.00 per hour in the city centre area.

    TIA!
    Gary.

You'd want to be very lucky to pick up a job at 16 paying anything over min wage.

Have you done up a CV?

If so, go around town and hand it in to every shop you see. Many will probably have policies of not hiring under 16s, but you may be lucky.

You're best bet is friends/family who may know someone who'll take you on.

I did that and got where I am now.
Im on €8.22 in Penney's and was wondering if there was anywhere around paying AT LEAST €8.65 or €9, I know of a few people that are my age and on €9 but I'm not too pushed on the particular places they are working in.
    Thanks for the reply, Sean!

Couldn't imagine you getting much more than the 8.65/9 euro per hour.

What's the big deal with earning an extra 15/20 euro a week? Is it 1993 again?

Good luck with the job hunt, but this isn't 'that type of forum' - try some of the job websites listed in the sticky at the top of the forum.
