What should they invent a word for?

Just had a thought there, they should invent a word for those times when you are typing away for a few seconds or minutes before you realise that the area you are typing into on the screen hasn't been selected and the writing hasn't appeared on the screen.

Call it... ghostwritery, phantwritery, or something similar.

Anyone else think of something that should be summed up in one word in the dictionary? Other than "yore ma".

    How about "****Iforgottoclicktherightpartofthescreenary"?

That would work, and make the Guinness Book of Records too I reckon.

When you turn around in a store/street to say something to your friend or boyfriend and find they have wandered off and been replaced by some randomer and you make some inane comment that would be fine if it was your friend or boyfriend but mortifying when its not.

When you're sitting somewhere, listening to someone elses conversation and you hear them discussing a problem they're having, be it, they need directions or help of some sort.

A word needs to be invented to cover the specific dilemma of whether you veer in and tell them the solution or just carry on as though you weren't eaves dropping.

when you say a word loads of time and then the word sounds silly to you, and you begin to believe that people can not be serious when they use it
    eg. mole

or how about a plural of think,
could be thank, thinked, or thunk?.,lol, "thought" doesnt really sound right., :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,370 ✭✭✭Timans

    Thought IS right though. :)

When you start walking somewhere, then realise that you're going the wrong way, so you have to suddenly stop and turn around to walk the other way, thus letting everyone know you made a mistake.

I usually pretend to receive a text at this point, which is oviously really important, telling me to go back in the direction I came from!

That's the past tense, not plural!

although "thoughts" would be the plural of things one thinks . . .

    I edited nothing!

"things one thinks" should probably say "things which one thinks", but I'm tired and slightly drunk, so the above is acceptable!

Aha! I mixed the things up with thinks.

I am not drunk, but extremely tired so, let's call this one a draw..

    nah it shoud be,
"you shoulda thank about it before ya did it",

    "who'd a thunk it huh".,
