NTL pace box

Lads I have the small NTL pace box, the one in use before they released their DVR box. I have a very old tv without a scart connection on it and was wondering can the cable out connector on the back of the ntl box be used to take a feed into the ariel socket on the back of the tv. Or will I have to buy a lead that goes from scart(ntl box) to ariel connection(TV). The reason I ask is because I have been trying to tune the ntl box in like you would the anologue stations but getting nothing

    Thanks

    Not possible.

The NTL box outputs RGB signals and composite video.

The TV aerial socket cannot accept any of these signals.

Your TV must must surely be 25 years old not to have some kind of video input. It's very unusual not to have one.

If you have a VCR, you could connect the NTL box to it (assuming it's got video inputs....) and watch it on the VCR channel on the TV.

Thanks Thomas V for clarifying that.Would you know what the cable out socket on the back of the NTl box is for?

To allow the TV or a video to receive the NTL analogue channels. It's just a pass-through.

That'll cost more than his TV is worth!

A broadband modem can also use the cable pass through.
