Might travel to the sales in Dublin this week. Could anybody advise where i could park securely without it costing me a fortune . Will all the multi storeys fill up quickly?

What is the cost of the multistoreys in Dublin city and which is the cheapest. I ll probably be shopping in around henry street as apposed to st stephens green.

I can't advise on the cost of parking but my suggestion is free :)

Park near Sherriff St area by the IFSC
24/7 garda patrols (often with armed ERU backup) so it's the safest area in Dublin right now.
2 minutes walk to the Luas at Connolly Station and once you get to Jervis stop then you're practically on Henry St

    Yes,street parking

I know you asked for multi-story locations but it is free and plus for some multi-storys you have to queue to exit the place

I think it's you my friend who is taking the mick. :)
You see Sheriff St = car thieving scum & guranteed car stolen when in reality it's not the case. Especially with minimum 4 gardai patrolling at any time.

However OP, if you're happy to pay parking charges then go ahead and park in a multi-story in the city centre. I'm only offering alternatives.
Anyway 10 minutes to exit a carpark is reasonable??

Jervis Street is €12 for an unlimited period. ;)

I regularly park in Sheriff Street. It's totally different from the Sheriff Street of old! ;)

Sorry to burst you bubble but I've been parking a 07 Golf there for the last 11 months, 10 hours a day, every day, no problems.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. It's a max of €12 a day and depending on when you leave can take upwards of 30-45 minutes to get out.

Stick her in Heuston Stn carpark ... get the LUAS in ... job's a horse and easy escape

i stand corrected, its obviously alot better in sheriff street,
but just think that if you park in jervis you can go back to the car whenever you want at ease and drop off shopping, if you park miles away and then get the luas, it means you have to drag all you bags back to the car on the luas with all those other people, and your not going to do that trip a few times as it would be expensive and awkward

One of my best friends works in IFSC - parks his car there daily, an 04 golf I think. Anyway came back one day, window smashed in and car radio + cd's nicked. Called the cops, they show up while loads of little knack kids gather round. Cops can do nothing about it even though its obivous that the kids are the ones who have robbed the car and situation degrades into the cops shouting at the kids calling them filthy scum.

Park on sherriff street if you want; the fact there is constant garda patrols going by might be an indicator that its one of the highest crime areas in Dublin; or mabe you think they like walking that beat cause of the scenery

i can only presume it was a modified radio with its mounting on full display? Asking for trouble it thats the case.

As for the constant patrols it's nothing to do with an indicator that it's one of the highest crime areas in Dublin, it's to do with the internal feud between two local families/gangs over the rape of a 14 year old girl, over which a number of people have been murdered throughout the city.

wtf has the radio mounting got to do with it, the car was broken into.
    end of story,

I presume he means the front of the radio. A car is far more likely to be broken in to if the radio front is in position than now, that's "wtf" it has to do with it.

You seem to have got your "," and "." keys mixed up at the end there, and a dodgy shift key - might want to get your keyboard replaced.

You're trying (and failing) to make a point on a discussion forum - so what you write should be intelligible. What you're writing is coming across as complete gibberish, however. I'd like to see you survive in an office job if your attitude to correct diction ended in school...

I think the point that Sherriff street is a scumbag infested sh*thole full of child rapists has been pretty well made, good punctuation or not.

Anyway, if you're coming up you could park in Jervis Street, Royal College of Surgeons/Stephen's Green or Brown Thomas car parks.

that is your opinion, when i post my opinion i choose to use or not to use punctuation, which is not the point of this discussion.
so can we try and stick to the thread topic.
and for your information, my diction while working in my office is quite good and professional, as it needs to be.
