Problem with PS3

    My brother got a PS3 for Christmas along with Assassin's Creed and 2 other games, the two other games work fine but Assassin's Creed doesn't work at all. There's no option to update the PS3 to work with Assassin's Creed either.

    Anyone help me?

    I forgot to mention my brother brought the orinigal one back to the shop and got a new one and it still doesn't work.

    I have the same problem,the answer is on the ps menu itself,my problem is that when I put in the game the Playstation logo comes up and then the screen goes blank,if this is the problem you have well then the problem according to the ps menu is that your tv isnt compatible.Got 2 games for the xmas 1 being assasins creed,starting to get fed up with the other already

    Yup thats the same problem, only thing I tryed it on 2 diiferent brand new HD-ready TV's.

    Anyway thanks for the replys, my brothers ringing Sony tomorrow to find out how to solve this.

    My brother was told it could be the resoultion of the TV, and thats all they said but thats not my problem.

    After doing some googling I've found out that there is a bug in the game and that there is a patch available for this. So you need to get a wireless internet connection and connect you PS3 to it. Then when you have a connection go to play Assassin's Creed and the option to download the patch will be there.

    I finally sat down to play Assassins Creed today but it wouldnt work. Kept saying "game data corrupt. delete the game save and restart". Wouldnt work on the shops ps3 either so I got Uncharted instead. It was like a blessing in disguise uncharted is unbelievable.

    I said in my earlier post that you can get a patch via the internet through your internet. Well here's some help with setting up a connection on your PS3.

    This worked for my brother when we were getting the blank screen


    Finally got the game to work by connecting the internet up to the PS3 and going to network settings and do the internet connection test. Then go to the top of the list to system update and enter that and then "update via the internet". Select the update and it should take about 10 minutes or so. Hope it works for you!
