    I have a 2005 Volvo S40 1.8 (english version 122BHP)

Where i can get a remap or chip done?
Has anyone experience or advice with getting this done. Will i actually gain any BHP at all?

See chips on Ebay claiming 15-20% increase for £3.95 + £2.95 shipping, but they look a bit dodgy.

:) Because they are... please see below.

    Hope that helps.

Please don't buy the following from ebay:

    "Chips"
    "Electric Turbo/Super - chargers"
    "Bargain Tyres"
    "Cheap Turbo/Super - Chargers"

We should make a list and sticky it! :o

I've no experience in remapping, but I'd say you can safely remap to gain a little power with no adverse effects, though I think you should check with your insurance company and declare it if you have it done.

No worries :) glad to be able to help, oh and I've heard that eiretyres.com are pretty decent, I was refering to "Bargain Tyres" on Ebay! definitely a no-no in my book ;)
