The guilt

When I was 2 years old, I stole the baby jesus from the manger in our local church right before the xmas eve service.

I hid him under my seat.

I didn't ask for a ransom, nor was I motivated by political/religious ideology.

He was returned safe and sound, after the priest made an announcement from the altar.

About this time every year, I feel wracked with guilt for almost breaking christmas.

I'm banned from PI, and not very popular on several other fora at the moment, so i had nowhere else to turn to unburden myself at this painful time.

    Thank you for listening :p

    Damn you you evil bastard!!
Christmas is cancelled for me after hearing that. I'm not giving out any presents. Children will cry as a result, and it's all your fault.

I had an extra piece of bread at Communion when I was younger. It's not what you think, they were stuck together, I swear it!

Would that count as a threesome? It being the body of christ and whatnot.

Our baby jesus went missing for like a week or so before Christmas, he mysteriously came back Christmas eve... we suspect my brother who was only young at the time.
He also took bites out of the snowman/reindeer/santa candles we had too....

As a child I painted our baby jesus black in some sort of political statement.

Not as bad as you Tallaght01, but my nephew took the donkey from the crib in his church when he was a little lad. Rustling isn't as bad as kidnapping. :)

Maybe that was your parents. Traditionally you are not meant to have the baby figure in the crib til then.

I found a rubber toy COW in our christmas decorations box this evening - I think it's the remainder of my poor mothers attempt at a crib last year! A cow? Was there even supposed to be a cow in the crib? A friesian heifer too it is with a big udder and everything. I dunno....
