As the year draws to a close and tv shows look back on the past years sporting events i went to a fair amount of events. Some with good results and some horrible.

    So heres the list

Golf - Irish Open Adare Sat and Sunday
I was there on the saturday and sunday nice to be there to see
    Padraaig win it

Champions League Final Athens Liverpool V Milan
Disaster of a result un believable atmosphere, cant explain it. "You'll
never walk alone brought tears to my eyes. Wasnt part of the riots
tbtg. Abbey Travel ripped us off big time, sollrs letters still goin so
cant say much. Was worth it for the experience alone never to be
    forgotten.

    GAA
    Football Championship
Went to see all of Kerrys games except the Waterford one was at a wedding!
Of course to beat Cork in the final was un believeable. Great day Great year for the kingdom.

    Hurling Championship

As i work in Limerick a few pals said they'd show me how the othe side of the gaa live went to the Limerick v Waterford, Limerick v Kilkenny games. It was something new for me and i enjoyed it but i felt sorry for my Shannon side friends who were thrashed in the final.

    Soccer
    Ireland v Wales
Irelands first soccer game in Croker An irish win but i witnessed 2 bad teams playing and wasnt surprised to see ireland fail to qualify.

    Rugby World Cup
ohhh! What a disappointment Booked a 3 week holiday for Europe and was looking forward to this for 2 years.

    Ireland v France
Yet again in stad de france un real atmosphere. The irish support was incredible. The irish team uh! well u know.

    Ireland v Argentia
in the Parc des Prince. I really believed if they performed we had a chance. They played for 20 mins and that was it. i never thought wed be humbled like that in 2 games in a row. Major Disapointment, Gutted.

    France - New Zealand
Only went to this as i had the ticket booked 3 years previous. Probably the best game i have seen. Man the new Zealand people are bad losers.

Thats me for the year great occasions, great joy and disappointment.
Experiences hat will never be forgotten

Dont think ill be doing it next year as im gettn hitched :(

    What about ye?

All the Western Force home games bar the first one, the sporting scene in Western Australia isn't great bar that. Once I got home I went to the Interprovincials (and met Dan Shanahan :D) and Shels last home game of the season. Thats it, hugely disappointing.

Starting next year with a huge bang, going to the Winter Classic / Ice Bowl in Buffalo on New Years Day, between the Penguins and Sabres. The first outdoor NHL game in the States, my first NHL game and a chance to see Sid The Kid, future hall-of-famer and the future of hockey. After that I'll get a Shels season ticket, hopefully get to see the Saints at least once, a few internationals at Croker and as much hurling as I possibly can.

    Roll on 2008!
