Christmas TV Hidden Highlights?

I've been looking through the RTE Guide and very little has jumped out at me that's a must-see.

Apart from Doctor Who (BBC1 Christmas Day 6:50pm) and Extras (BBC1 Dec. 27th 9pm) I haven't come across anything.

I know I've just mentioned the two most high profile shows but anything else worth watching that I may have missed or skipped over?

    There's surely some hidden gems?

    nope, you've got it right

there's absolutely nothing on this year
which is why I asked for DVDs for christmas

The lack of "shivers down the spine" tv these days is criminal, Xmas was once a time the companies put huge amounts of time and money into, now its a little more than a disruptive influence in the soap schedules (which is why they show even more episodes!).

Keep an eye out for QI (BBC2 Wednesday 9 pm) the unseen bits, which I'm informed is a hoot that followed by Lead Balloon.

Spare a thought for me....I have 4 channels! Nothing on. Fr Ted is on at the moment though, the one where they get lost in the lingirie department. Can't wait til I get my new DVDs tomorrow, I'll actually have something to watch.

The Big Fat Quiz of the year is usually a good laugh...

And BBC3 are showing the Mighty Boosh live at some stage too.

watched 2 great films christmas night , the motorcycle diaries which wasnt at all preachy and the gem of the bunch , inside im dancing , loved it , superb performances by the 2 leads in a hugely uplifting but brutally non sentimental irish film , if hollywood had made this movie , one of the guys would have won a gold medal in the special olypmics

    Nothing hidden about those gems.

Moorbike diaries is very good though,
It does not *disolve* much about Li'l Che though so lovers/haters of him should not attatch to much to the fact it is about him, it is a *provocative* tale of heavy duty vehicles and thier aspirations.

I've been enjoying re-runs of Comedy connections late night BBC2, some I've seen and most I haven't.

    Also Red Dwarf straight after.

Extras and Dr Who have been the best so far this xmas.

Long Way Down is repeated very late on BBC2. Very good as I missed it first time around.
