Here's 13 fights which I think should be considered(in chronological order):

    1.Paulie Malignaggi v Herman Ngoudjo-IBF Light-Welterweight title
Ngoudjo has established himself as a firm top 10 Light-Welter , losing a SD(which really could of gone either way) to Jose Luis Castillo and winning a SD over former WBA and WBO champ Randall Bailey who still has something to offer .
The Bailey fight like the Castillo fight was close and could of gone either way .

Malignaggi's best win is over Lovemore N'Dou who is the true gatekeeper of the division , unallowed by referee Eddie Cotton to work inside N'dou's small chance of winning that fight faded completely . Ngoudjo should offer a tougher test .

    2.Wladamir Sidorenko v Nobuto Ikehara-WBA Bantamweight title
Sidorenko is a classyfighter but has been hidden away in Germany for years now and will have to travel to Japan to face Japanese fight Ikehara .

Not that much is known of Ikehara outside Japan but a Japanese champion at the lower weights is almost always a tough test and with the fight in Japan and Sidorenko not being a puncher this one could be close .

    3.Carl Johanneson v Kevin Mitchell-British Super Featherweight title .
It's the commonwealth champ v the British champ and it really is a pickem .
Johanneson has proved himself formidable at British level and only above that has he lost. Mitchell on the other hand is unproven, Some say he'll be World Class other think he's purely domestic and won't amount to much .

50/50 fight between too guys who love a brawl , and it's one of my picks for possible fight of the year .

    4.Alexander Munoz v Katsushige Kawashima-WBA Super-Flyweight title
former WBC champ v the current WBA champ . Kawashima has suffered two defeats to the very very classy Christian Mijares of late but will have the advantage of fighting at home in Japan and although Munoz is good he is no Mijares .
However Munoz seems to specialize in beating Japanese fighters on their own turf , his 6 wins in World championship fight wins were in Japan against Japanese fighters and his only 2 defeats in World championship fights were in America against the very slick World Class Mexican Martin Castillo .

    5.Sergei Dzinzurik v Luckas Konecny-WBO Light-Middleweight title
, Dzinzurik has suffered a similar fate to Sidorenko . A Ukranian who has captured a World title but is hidden away on German undercards defending it . Konecny is vastly underated , he has two wins over Khoren Gevor who came close enough to dethroning Arthur Abraham only to be brutally ko'ed in the 11th .

    6.Steve Molitor v Ricardo Castillo-IBF Super-Bantamweight title
Molitor is much classier but Castillo is tough as nails and could trouble Molitor by backing him up and making the fight rough . His best champ is to jump on Molitor who can start slow at times .

    7.Gavin Rees v Andreas Kotelnik-WBA Light-Welterweight title

Defending champion Rees goes to Germany to try and make the first defence of his title . Rees shocked the boxing World by outworking established champ Souleymane M'Baye round after round to win the title . Kotelnik has twice been unlucky not to get the decision over M'Baye in the past and gave Witter a very close fight . This fight being in Germany could help the Ukranian a lot but to underestimate the chances of any Enzo Calzaghe fighter would be foolish and with Rees having already shocked the World once and shown he has a style than can make a natural Featherweight effective at World level as a Light-Welterweight by throwing over 1000 punches in a fight......who knows .

    8.Roy Jones v Felix Trinidad
They're both shot , but this ones got some hype behind it .

9.Mike Mollo v Andrew Golota-a battle of McBride killers
Mollo has shown himself to be very good of late and the comebacking Golota still has a little something left . Both guys like to throw plenty of punches and can be hit and hurt , should be fun(that's something odd to say about a heavyweight fight) and could go either way . The winner could find themself getting a voluntary shot at a World title .

    10.Colin Lynes v Gianluca Branco-European Light-Welterweight title
Current European champion v former European champion . Lynes has turned his career around winning the British and European titles in consecutive fights but Branco has only failed at World level(to Cotto and Gatti) . The winner could easily find themselves getting a World title shot .

11.Alexander Povetkin v Eddie Chambers- IBF final Eliminator at Heavyweightthe winner gets Wlad . Both prospects have shown they have quite a bit about them and Povetkin with his impressive amateur pedigree and tough fights early in his pro career has shown he might have something special . Chambers however is very slick , quick and unlike Byrd in his prime .

    12.Michel Trabant v Richard Gutierrez
It's a battle of who's more fringe World class than the other , neither will ever step into World title level but the winner here could certainly get themselves a shot at a belt . The fight being in Germany is the only thing which takes this from a 50/50 fight into a Gutierrez probably has to stop him or win every round extremely clearly fight . Still I wouldn't totally discount him .

    13.Chris John v Roinet Caballero-WBA Featherweight title

...........I dunno why I bother , even if Caballero gives a good enough effort to provide the upset he won't get the decision in Indonesia .

I see your first fight of 2008 comp is up.

Lets make it at less a week notice before any comp fight ie fight must be posted here a week before.

Anybody like the idea of making comp more interesting ok here my plan anybody interested in comp must sign up before the end of Jan/Feb 08. To sign up all you have to do is predict a result before then.
    HERE THE INTERESTING PART
We agreed to all put 20 /25 euros in ( through paypal or something )
The winner gets the money or better A pair of tickets plus costs (funds allowing) to a decent fight night at the end of the year.....

    Opinions lads
