Is Bertie losing it? How much longer before he cracks?

    Hi,

Before someone shouts - 'POLITICS FORUM!' - this thread is not intended to be only about politics but mostly about our esteemed leader himself.

I find myself having too seperate viewpoints now about Bertie:

    1. I am actually a little concerned about him at this stage. He seems to be getting very angry and flustered recently with everyone and seems to have lost the head on quite a few occassions now this year whch would have been very rare just a year ago. Is he being harshly treated by the media and those at the Mahon tribunal? He gave the solicitor interrogating him quite a bit of stick for only doing his job. Or is he now just getting nervous that its all falling appart and everything is about to come out? Surely this cannot go on much longer. I have concerns now about his ability to govern the country.

    2. I am disgusted really at his behaviour in recent months. The 'gurrier' element seems to have come out at times and his tone has been incredibly disparaging and condescending - i.e who are the commoners to question me?

Seriously though I think he is cracking under extreme pressure. I know he does a great job being Taoiseach and works his hat off but he just seems to be in self destruct mode atm. If he gets any angrier he is going to set up a military dictatorship or something! - lol........I think he is going mad:eek:

If you're being interrogated by someone doing their job, you tend to get defensive / lash out - even if they are only doing their job.

    Care to give an example?

    He is a fúcking disgrace.

Minister for Finance - didn't see need to have a bank account.
    Muppet.

No smoke without fire? That's an inferno right there.

Pardon me but Ive been out for a bit. This whole no bank acc thing. How was he paid his TD wage, fcuking cash?!!? The General missed out on a golden opportunity if Bertie went into the Dail every January 1st to collect tens of thousands in punt notes and stash it under the bed.

Exactly from day 1 he seems to have decided he can say and do as he likes, nevermind barefaced lying to the public.
IF what Haughey said was true the mongs were even thicker voting him in again this year.

He nipped into Burdocks and signed the back of the cheque. They were cool about it.

    I love Bertie

you have to admit he's great at what he does
deception and talking his way out of situations is how he got to where he is today

I don't care if he was given money from shady individuals

I was listening to the news and he told the tribunal what he did with his savings was None of their "damn business"
    :D

Bertie will hardly be remembered for a being a 'statesman'.
I believe if he were not in politics he would find it hard to get a job anywhere else, and if he did, he would not be getting a salary greater than Bush. What a disgrace, he gets that amount of money for being the prime minister of a country with a population of less than that of Birmingham.
What's really scary is the muppets in his 'gubberment' that are coming out to defend him. They are committing political suicide.

He's on his last lap and has become extremely smug, as if he doesn't care. He has also been cantankerous of late, more than a couple of times in the Dail. and when Bertie gets mad he turns to playground taunts. :o
Personally I think he's now a liability to FF and can see him "stepping down" sooner than he claims. Between the pay rise debacle and what is going on in Mahon, it might be time for them to "anoint" the new boy.

Are you ***king insane? What on this green earth would make you think that? He couldn't two fingers about anyone outside certain parts of Dublin and his builder friends. Your either his best friend or really naive to think he is doing a great job. He deserves everything he gets from tribunals. I hate the bastard.
