5.1 problem

    Hi everyone,

I bought a wireless 5.1 system on ebay and just set it up today but I am having some issues with it.

I hooked it up to my xbox 360, went to the system > audio > dolby 5.1, but when I play anything all I get is the rear speakers and occasionally the woofer. So i hooked it up to a dvd player put in a 5.1 film, same thing again, then tried another dvd player and i get the rear speakers and woofer on this one, but again no front speakers.

I'm using the red and white cables for the sound input. There is no optical input.

Any ideas whats going wrong? personally I think the output for the front speakers wasnt put together properly.

    Any help isappreciated.

What happens if you make the XBOX send stereo?

Without an optical input on your surround sound you will not get 5.1 sound for your PS3.
The red and white cables are AV cables and deliver stereo only (2.0)

    thanks for the replies.

If I put out stereo on the xbox I get the same thing, just rear sound.

Even if I cant get true 5.1 sound then, should I not at least have sound come out of all speakers?
