Why is the world insane?

so there I am sitting at home watching the footy when all of a sudden i hear a familiar noise in the distance. a light tinkling sound, slowly getting louder. then all the kids come out of the houses and bushes screaming and I cop what's happening. the ice cream van is back.

seriously. one of the coldest days of the year and there's flippin' Ice Cream van outside and everyone is going daft trying to get themselves a cone. the world is mad, i have officially given up trying to make any sense of it. now I'm going to go have a hot shower to warm up cause I'm getting cold looking at all them kids in the hats gloves and scarves eating freezing ice cream...

that is all.

Last year I used to always buy a large Slushee when I would walk home from work on the coldest days of winter. Somehow, though, the brain-freezes always seemed less severe.

I've heard the icecream van everyday for the last few months.
Incidentally I don't recall hearing him earlier in the year.

Ice cream fella who used to come to my estate, we called him "Popeye". So for years, I'd call ice-cream popeyes.. But if I asked for a popeye anywhere outside of my estate, people would look at me weird..

yeah i forgot to add that part. that what adds the real mindboggling aspect. the Ice Cream van only started coming around in mid November. it was never around during summer...

The ice cream guy was just around here about half an hour ago. He comes virtually every day of the year, rain or shine. Actually I can hear him again right now, he's moved to the houses behind me. I don't think the coming of the next ice age will stop that guy.
