Has anyone heard of a chap called Val Riazanov?

I saw some youtube video of him and can't work out whether if he's for real or not. The striking seems efective but the videos are terribly "stagey".

His site says he's done seminars or training of some sort in Ireland has anyone ever attended any or heard anything about them.

I'm only asking out of dumb curiosity.

Systema has always baffled me. A group of guys with judo and sambo backgrounds doing aikido wrist locks and spectacular break falls. Looks "good" but completely useless.

Funny thing is - I checked some of his other vids and he teaches sambo? Why on earth would he teach something as impractical as whatever is in that video when he has such a practical art like sambo at his disposal?
