    It was a foregone conclusion. Watching the show and the various mentions of him on it and other media in recent times, all the focus was on his winning of the British Open. Obviously it was the biggest thing, but it is hardly mentioned that he won the Irish Open too and in so doing broke the long standing bogey of no Irish player having won it since John O'Leary in 1982. A lesser, but nevertheless an important achievement and at least worth some mention. Anyway, well done Padraig and let's hope there are a few more majors in him.

    Yeah well deserved, he's been ridiculously odds-on since the Major win and nobody has really challenged him.
