Been using Fring over the 3g network, got a few complaints about poor call quality.

I've been using the 3 Skypephone, and it integrates v.well with the phone, and the calls are quite clear. The program is iskoot.

Someone at work has one. hes reckons its needs a good signal to work well. Could you use it instead of a land line.

It's important to nte that Three's Skype client will ONLY work in a 3G coverage area. Fring will connect over the slower GPRS but call quality is unlikely to be very good. Even on the 3G network Fring runs into problems because of latency.

You do need to be in a 3G area in order for the client to allow you to connect, but after that the call quality is entirely dependant on the internet connection of the other person as your end of the call is made as a regular mobile call to a UK number (you are not charged for that connection). Of course you could end up with a crappy quality mobile connection between yourself and the number in the UK but that is highly unlikley once you've got enough signal for 3G in the first place.

You cannot call land lines from using the 3 Skype client, only Skype contacts.
