You can never really trust them closing down sale signs.

Motion Picture (I think? the one beside golden discs in the shopping centre anyway) in Dun Laoghaire had a "7 days till closing down" sign for about 4 months up. They are still open!

They have some decent DVDs in that store, but every time I go into it all their stuff is marked with a ''Sale - 2 for €25'' sticker, so if it's just this sale that's been going on for years, you'd be better off going for HMV's 3 for €30.

    Worth a look anyway.

No - all the DVDs are brand new, some sealed in plastic

Yeah popped in today and picked up a few DVDs. They're all €7.50 (reduced from €15), ex-rentals are €5. There's a decent enough collection too.

Was in yesterday. Its mostly stuff that you would pick up in HMV or Virgin for a fiver but they have marked up the "retail" price so you reckon you are getting a good half price deal for 7.50.
If they were REALLY closing down and "Everything Must Go!!" then surely everything would be 2 or 3 euro. So they are probably going to sell on whatever stock they have left to a liquidators and trying to make a few quid before it comes to that. Fair enough really, just dont get sucked in to it.

They technically refer to the closing down of a holding of stock, not of a shop.

I asked the guy behind the counter if they were actually closing down for good and he said they were...
