iPoker connection & broadband options

I'm unable to play on iPoker with Irish Broadband's 3meg connection as I get timed out once a round or so. I've disconnected every other computer using the net connection but it hasn't helped. So its time to find a new provider.

Does anyone have any problems on iPoker using a basic 48:1 1meg ADSL connection, or do peops have problems with DSL too?

I've Eircom 2mb DSL and run it through a wireless router.

I've actually yet to have a single disconnect and I've been using it a month at this stage.

I have a lot of disconnection problems on ipoker after using Azureus (torrent client). This happens everytime I use Azureus but it can be fixed by rebooting my laptop. So if ipoker doesn't disconnect after a reboot then it's probably similar problem.

I'm sure you're all too aware of wireless' susceptibility to interference. DSl, as a phsycial connection, usually isn't prone to such problems and is much more reliable but a 48:1 contention ratio would be a problem if you share the connection with people who are prone to downloading 24/7.
