does anybody know whats the story yet with magpies and greys this year. Its crazy if they try and stop us hunting and trapping them this year. Us hunters are the best consevationists when it comes to getting rid of these pests so we can give all the other birds a chance. If the mags and greys wiped out everything those god damn greens would be the first ones to cry

Made that point a while ago man. Sure if that's what they want they can cry in their herbal tea about the decline of the native songbird and small mamal species a year or two from now.

The greens shouldn't forget one thing though..there's probably more hunters in Ireland than people who voted for them.... .

On a positive note : nearly everywhere in Europe where they've participated in government they've gotten a hammering in the next elections.

Well, probably not the right thing to do but if i get a crack at a greyback or a magger over the holidays it will be very hard to resist.

Very true. Plus, the bigger parties will steal their clothes to some extent thus reducing the green vote to a more centralised one.

    Out, out, out.

Id say BBBerty and Co will use the Greens to slip in all the Green legislation they have been afraid to deal with until now, the word patsy springs to mind....

The way Bertie is behaving in the tribunal now is not going to make him many friends. Unfortunate really how an extremely succesfull and liked leader of government can outstay his welcome. In my opinion Bertie is going straight for a Helmut Kohl moment, from loved to loathed in 6 months. How's that for a completely of the mark comment :o.

Back to the greys and mags, my right finger dares to act on reflex seeing one:D

    Hi,
I've been watching this space with interest and have asked a few questions for ye, basically the only reason it hasn't been signed is due to nobody putting it in front of the minister. There is no talk of withdrawing the derogation, it has actually happened many times over the years with many different ministers. Rangers have not been instructed to target hunters shooting species listed on the previous one. Its been happening for years ( it's the civil service:rolleyes:) don't worry about it. It'll be signed eventually and backdated as happens everytime.
