When I saw this I turned the pc off. Would this have erased everything on my pc if I'd let it carry on? I haven't installed anything new so I'm confused.
Now sometimes it'll go straight to windows and other times this blue screen.
    Help!!:(

Welcome to Windows - the Blue Screen of Death :) This is fairly common, and is an indication of a problem on your PC, could be hardware or software related ... you will really need to post more info to start diagnosing the problem.

It's unlikely that the Blue Screen of Death will erase anything on your PC -by itself- the dump of physical memory is supposed to help diagnose the problem ... having said that, it is a good idea to backup any critical data you have, just in case the underlying problem gets worse.

When this happens again, take a note of the STOP message, and post back here. Also, think about any recent changes or unusual messages from your PC ... did you move it physically, or add/remove any hardware/software ?

Naw, as I understand it, a physical memory dump is taking the contents of RAM and writing it to a file for later inspection... useless for most people.
Generally it's not the best idea to power off the PC during a harddrive write though.
