I'm going to do a quick test.

Here is a sequence of numbers:
    2 4 6

Now, everyone reply with 3 numbers that follow the same sequence. I will tell you if you got it right, but won't tell you the sequence, you have to guess what the rule is.

Its the Yore Ma rule, and the sequence can actually be anything to reflect the illogical nature of Yore MA!

Here's a tricky one: which numbers come next?

    5, 1, 6, 3, 5, 7 ...

There IS an answer, it's not just to be annoying.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,504 ✭✭✭Nehpets

Didn't get the first one. The ones desF posted are so old - they're new! (not really).

    2 4 6 6 36 38

    2 4 6 36 38 1444

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,504 ✭✭✭Nehpets

    5, 1, 6, 3, 5, 7 ... 3, 8, 5, 7, 9

    2 4 6 10 12 14 (octal)
    2 4 6 8 a c (Hex)

The first one is right, the second one is wrong, what's the sequence though? (it's not octal)

Remember, you only need to give me three numbers that match the sequence, this will save you time. Just keep giving me 3 numbers, and I'll tell you if you're right or wrong. (But not what the sequence is)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,989 ✭✭✭✭Giblet

    The answer is:

    Any ascending sequence.

    Good work chaps :)

    1, 2, 3 would have worked too ;)
