    Hi everyone

Is it possible to copy a specific column of a table to excel. I want it so that every entry would be in the cell under the preceding entry

    For example, http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=78&month=1&year=2008&obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1

I want the Sunset time to be in a vertical column down like it is on the page, only in Excel 2007. Is there any easy way of doing this, or do I have to copy all the info in?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tim

    Hi Timbuk2,

Have looked at the document, the only way I could get what you required was to copy all the data to an excel sheet, then, holding the ctrl button click on the A, B, D, E etc columns (i.e. the columns you don't want) and right click and delete.

Hope this is of some help

When I do that the whole document just pastes as one whole continuous line

    e.g 1 Jan 200808:4116:167h 35m 04s+ 1m 08s12:2813.6° 147.0962 Jan 20080

It doesn't paste right with the formatting!

    not really
easiest way is to copy the lot and then hid the columns you don't want that way when you paste again the ones you don't want to see stay hidden

Hi I figured it out. I will post the method for those that want to know

I went to the data tab. Then I pressed on "From Web". Entered the URL, and it showed the website. For every table on the webpage, it showed a yellow arrow beside it. Just press on the yellow arrow to import it in (formatted correctly and all)

    Excel 2007 is very handy
