    Hi,
I have an Iroko countertop in my kitchen that I have stained with Danish oil but I'd like to stain it with something darker (give it a walnut look perhaps). Is there anything else I could use?

would I have to give it a light sand first?

    Thanks

Teak oil will darken it more with every coat. Take off excess oil after 15 minutes and buff to stop blotching. Use sanding if there are marks<350>grade .Sanding should have been done before the first oiling. At the beginning when raw it should have been stained with an oak stain to give walnut colour and then sealed with danish oil .
