    Hi guys,

I know there are a million and one threads on Thailand, and I have attempted to get through as many as possible, but didn't find the answers to a few questions I have, so thought I would post a new thread in the hope someone can help!

Am off to Thailand for a month in Jan. Have to bring a few electronics with me (camera charger, ipod charger etc) but can't seem to find out what type of plug they use over there.
    Anyone know?

Also, what is the mobile phone coverage like over there? Is it worth bringing it?

Landing in Bangkok for 3 days, then...who knows! Any tips, advise, places to go/ stay are welcome! :D

    Thanks,
    Fiii

Just buy yourself a converter and a thai sim card (if your phone is unlocked). Should cost you about €2 altogether.

Get to Bangkok, hit Koh San road, you'll get a universal convertor here for half nothing plus lots of really cool t-shirts, board shorts etc. Do haggle. Expect to pay 150-170 baht for t-shirts. Also good spot to go on the beer, avoid Gullivers - overpriced. If you have time tiger temple, couple of hours drive from Bangkok is meant to be class, yopu get to go right up beside Tigers and have photos taken, run by monks, so its safe to say its all above board and humane.. Whistle stop trip around Thailand should include Ko Phangan (full moon party in Hat Rin, good chill out spots in north), Ko Toa (for snorkelling/diving) Ko Phi Phi (do boat trip around island for 700 baht - Maya bay 'beach' fame pretty cool but overcrowded), Chang Mai, Pai, Maybe Krabi. While in Bangkok a visit to the grand palace and reclining budha is prob worth while too.... Enjoy it auld stock.
