“We passed the 700,000 threshold for broadband subscriptions in June and we will be reaching 800,000 by the end of December this year. On top of that we have around 100,000 people subscribing to HSDPA (high speed downlink packet access) mobile broadband services,” Doherty says.
from an article in Silicon Republic.

in relation to the Mobile Broadband which John Doherty says up to 100,000 people are subscribing to i wonder is that figure accurate taking into account some operators use restrictive filters which block the services even though the customer is still subscribed stealthily having purchased the handset they are unable to access the full range of sites that is the "internet"?

and also regularly blocking sites from one section(prepay phones) to save bandwidth for another more profitible market(bill-pay/data modems) does not souund like something people would willfully or knowingly subscribe to?

Since when were politically appointed figures considered a reliable source of information?
