Advise on Dish size, Manufacturer

    As I'm new to this site, would appreciate some feedback on Satellite Systems, Dish, Transponders........First off why an 80cm dish versus 60cm (Triax ??).

    I plan to mount the Dish and run the cable to the Receiver........any advise on how I should start....where are the best prices in the Munster area. Urlan ??

    Because it pisses rain for most of the year. Triax are good.

    Read the FAQ/stickies, read the wiki and use the search function. 99.99999% of questions have been answered here already, usually several times. A list of suppliers is stickied.

    Thank you for the advice, but I'm tempted to go to LIDL on the 3rd April to pick up the 56cm:confused: Dish and Satellite System for 79 Euro........am I crazy or not

    bracket will maybe break. Dish even a bit small for Sky never mind Hotbird. The Dish size is for Germany.
    Maplin have some deals at the mo if you don;t want to buy online.

    The kind of RX or better as at Lidl is as cheap as €40 on Internet.
