I'm looking to import a few region free Region1 Blu-Ray films, specifically Planet Earth US Edition (Region Free) as its 1080p compared to 1080i UK Edition.
If somebody could also post the website that has Blu-Ray region coding for all released films,
    Thanks

I'm a fan of Movietyme.com - there should be a button for region free blu-ray releases at the top of the main page. Free shipping, but it usually takes a couple of weeks to arrive...

    Is it really 1080p?

Yes, check out the reviews of the Blu-Ray UK version on Play.com.

Thanks for the link. Checked the site and the list of region free Blu-Ray films is quite good.

am looking to get planet earth myself.was interested in getting us version aswell but aother poster pointed something out to me
have the UK version , much better because it includes an extra disc ( american version is only 4 discs ) with the making of documentary also in HD with some fascinating insights into the equipment used and how it was done , I dont know how big your set is , but you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference between 1080p and 1080i on a screen smaller than 50 inches.

I watched most of this on the BBC HD through Sky HD , Sky broadcast in 1080i and the picture was jaw droppingly good , so I would recommend the full UK set over the basic USA set any day, 1080p or not. Most broadcasting companies broadcast in 1080i anyway so you'd still be getting original broadcast quality material regardless.

    American version ,

Just watch out when ordering from Amazon.com for example their current BOGOF offer is made up of MGM & Fox titles which are Region A locked so they won't work on the European PS3's. I also use Axelmusic.com for both HD-DVD's and Blu-Ray's again you should double check that your title will work on European PS3 (axel import all US/Canadian disc to holland and ship from there so no customs issues :). Good site to check if it will play is http://bluray.lindsite.dk/
If your looking for the best prices on European, check out thehut.com or Asda.co.uk, they are usually cheaper then Sendit.com or Amazon.
