Smoking indoors

Both me and my flat mate smokes but there is no way we'd smoke indoors. It stinks the place up. Also it keep the consumption down somewhat, having to go outside in the rain.

Hello biko, welcome to the forum

Myself and my flatmate both smoke also. We smoke in the kitchen/tv room area, but with the balcony door always open and the door into the rest of the apartment closed. We wear a jumper in the winter.

The apartment never really smells of smoke, we use one of those Airwick plug in things. I know smokers can be a bit more tolerant of the smokey smell, but a friend who calls around about twice a week always comments on the nice smell in the place.

In my mothers place, I always go out to the back garden, so does my Dad, except at Xmas, when a chain-smoking uncle calls around, he's never sent out the back. When my granny was alive, she was never sent out either. It's more a respect thing, because my mother is always at me to "come in out of that cold", but I never do.

In other people's places, friends and that, I always ask. Some of them are smokers themselves, but smoke outside, others are smokers and allow smoking indoors, yet more are non smokers and ask us to go outside, and some are non smokers who don't seem to mind smoking indoors (I'd be less comfortable doing this though, but hey, if they insist, then I don't argue).

I never, ever, smoke in my bedroom.

I rarely smoke any more, but if I do, I'd go outside. During the summer, we had a strict "No smoking in the house" rule, even though a minimum of 4 of us smoked. It makes the place smell manky. In Edinburgh, being in an apartment, I'll smoke out the window if I REALLY want to, but the window will be open full and I hang out of it. Basically, it saves the hassle of going down the stairs .

smoke in the house but never when i have visitors because one of them is 11 months old

Myself and the GF smoke, though only rarely on her part. Neither of us do so indoors and always go out on hte balcony to light up. Not only does it stink the place up but it turns the walls/wallpaper yellow and looks horrible.

I only smoke in my own room, plus I got an extractor fan and stuck it over the vent in the room, works a treat!

I smoke out the back door in the kitchen, or in the attic with the velux window open.

The smell still kind of makes its way through parts of the house, but meh, doesn't bother me I only do it because I live with two non-smokers.

Altho since my mum Gave up, The house has been non-smoking, I finally got a dispensation for the study. as i'm the only person who uses it.

Never smoke indoors at home i'd never ever haer the end of it. I smoke in my sisters house alright but both of them smoke so its all good. When one of the buddies lived at home i used to smoke in his house but seeing as both his parents stayed at home smoking all day with the windows and doors closed you could have actually lit a fire in there and no one would've blinked an eye.
