It's €99 in Soundstore Waterford at the minute with a free case and memory card.. I'm looking for a replacement for a Fujifilm f20 for my girlfriend and am wondering Is this any good?

It's only for using on nights out, and maybe the odd family get together..

Looks ok i have to say my mum used to have a vivitar cam and the image quaility is good the screen on that is big and a handy zoom for getting eg. a group shot into the frame

The fujifilm F series are quite well regarded for their low light performance, whcih is normally the biggest problem with P&S cameras. This one should do fine but don't expect miracles in the pub!

Ye wouldn't know whether it has face detection. I doubt it for that price but €99 for a 6mp isn't too bad
