photo stitching software

    Has anyone here used any photo stitching software ?
    Any recommendations for any free software available.
    Gave this a go earlier http://www.ptgui.com/
    seems alright , just using the trial version so cant save project

    Canon owners get PhotoStitch free on the CD that came with their cameras (SLR owners anyway). It's not limited to Canon images only however as I've used it with shots from many different cameras,

    get ptgui, it one of the best, and not expensive

    most of the pros who do panoramics use it

    Thumbs up for ptgui, have used realviz sticher in the past but ptgui for the price is a much better option.

    Autostich is good, it'll do a perfectly good job 99% of the time, but since there's minimal control over the stiching process, the other 1% of the time, you're hosed. Can't argue with the price though!

    Hugin has never worked properly for me, either on Linux or Windows, so after multiple attempts/versions, I've given up on it.

    I've tried PTGui, and it does a good job, but cheaper, and to my mind capable of equally good results is PTAssembler
