    I think he needs to show more enthuaism and do some more jazz hands, he is just not camp enough for the show.

    Ah c'mon, he's hillarious. He's perfectly suited to the show.

    You could have a great drinking game while watching it. A shot for every time he shouts out OOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooohhhhh! You'd be legless at the end.

    Too bad that Kathryn Thomas and Aidan Power - who are usually excellent on No Frontiers and The Cafe respectively - are presenting it now, and just about everything is different except for the big wheel.

    Derek has resurfaced on the unimaginitively-titled Big Money Game, but IMHO he's wasting his time there.

    Kathryn Thomas really needed to be told to use her 'indoor' voice when presenting that national lottery farce.

    I realise that the majority of the show's participants suffered from old-age related deafness, but really, one has to ask why, when speaking to the viewing audience at home, she still felt the need to SHOUT VERY LOUDLY INTO THE CAMERA at every opportunity?

    Noisy, Noisy person. Nothing makes me want to punch someone in the head more than fake enthusiasm. At least Aidan Power had the grace to look mildly embarrassed at his involvement with this shoddy bargain basement crap.

    Im not a fan.

    Probably says something, then, that Marty Whelan's replacing him.

    While Fame and Fortune wasn't much better than Winning Streak, I always liked Marty on it - particularly his line at the end, "How do you play? You buy a ticket."

    But I feel that even if he brings all the entertainment in the world to WS, he'll still be wasting his time on it, just as I feel Derek was wasting his time on the Big Money Game.

    (As a matter of interest, when you think about it, Marty and Derek have reversed roles - it doesn't seem all that long ago that Marty was doing the summer game show while Derek did WS.)
