Dial-up? you say, yes broadband hasn't reached me yet

Th thing is when I go to connect to the internet I hear a 'click ' from the modem and I get "call was blocked by the remote computer" Error 775.

Could somebody please shed some light on this as everything is fine regarding the actual phone line and I've changed none of the settings on the PC.

    Kind regards.

What number are you dialing to connect to the internet. Can you hear a dial tone via your speaker on the modem or the PC.

    It's possibly your modem
"This is generally a modem driver error. Your modem has two parts, the physical modem device (the hardware) and the modem driver (the software). The modem driver is the software that tells the modem how to behave. The software driver for this modem probably needs to be reinstalled. Contact your computer or modem supplier for information on how to do this. "

what version of windows are your using
