    On this http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=333306

Is this a decent TV? I currently have a Samsung 27" 720p TV and it's never given me any bother but I've been thinking of upgrading to a 1080p set and I saw this on Komplett and couldn't believe the price.

    Is it any use?

From what I read online It seems to have some Motion Issues Mainly when watching sports? Other that that i belive it ok( if the motion issues are not a problem for you) Look up AV forums for more info.

I've had the same set for the last 4 months or so.. overall pretty good.. but it doesn't handle SDTV too well.

Whats it like on HD? Main reason I'm getting it is for 1080p gaming. Don't mind a little bit of blur on SDTV, sure I'll have a HD source in a year or so, so I can deal with it.

    Any other caveats about it?

I've no complaints on the gaming side.

No significant problem with motion blur, it's simply that a SDTV signal stretched over a 1080P screen looks pretty spotty even if the signal is strong. Discovery and Channel4/E4 are completely actually unwatchable
on mine. Don't have a HD subscription, so can't comment on that aspect.

Slight buzzing from the backlight. (it was suggested it may be a small cable vibrating somewhere)

Rang Samsung about it, never got a follow up call from a service engineer.

Turned the backlight up to 10 and buzzing isn't a problem anymore so i'm happy enough.... but if the TV develops a bigger problem, lack of after sales service may be a problem.

Cool, thanks for the help xanthor. Think I may take the plunge after Christmas and buy this. Can't wait to experience trueHD!
