My XP desktop has gooten really slow in the last few days. The BSOD has even flashed 4 or 5 times. CPU usage seems normal except whenver it slows down, in the active processes there is a lot of dwwins.exe and drwtsn32.exe 's

I've done the usual virus/spyware scans and Kaspersky found nothing. Any ideas?

    Muchos Gracias

drwtsn32.exe is XP's program debugger, Dr. Watson, which runs when a prgram crashes. It's legit.

Not to be rude, or anything, but Kaspersky is up-to-date and you are scanning everything?
If so, what's the PC run-down, OS, version, etc...

Did you happen to catch any of the error codes when you got the BSOD? It could be a few things but I would check the memory first using memtest.

Yep Kasperskys up to date and scanned everything on the high security option. Will run a memtest now. Was gonna install the release candidate SP3 but I'll fix this first:) Thanks

Well Memtest was ok. Any ideas? Im thinking I might just re-install Windows and start afresh

How many of them are there ? versus how many do you expect previously when all is well?

If the BSOD is displaying it will be creating an error file in %SystemRoot%\Minidump , have a look at this file it might tell you the source of the error
