No, theres 40+ bottles of spirits, boxes of chocolates and other spot prizes thatll be given out throughout the night, should be a good party atmosphere around the place.

I think Gutshot poker should offer a Christmas signup bonus for that night aswel to bring in a bit more of a crowd...maybe repeat the $100 deal they done recently that i missed because of work :(

I'm looking for a new site to play and i might be tempted :)

Eh, I was. I won a box of biscuits, they'll last longer than your cash.

WP on the win, I was sitting at the cash table beside your final table.

well done rasta. i played and was annoyed no end as usual. this time by a sonofabitch who played with his cards the other side of the line. arged with him but twas futile. i wanted to play a cash game but was out too early for that and i didnt fancy hanging around for one.

new years resolution probably to play even less live that i already do:rolleyes:

i played and was annoyed no end as usual. this time by a sonofabitch who played with his cards the other side of the line. arged with him but twas futile. i wanted to play a cash game but was out too early for that and i didnt fancy hanging around for one.

The son of a bitch in question was me. And yes my cards were slightly over the line but given previous history I wasnt going out of my way to be cooperative with you. This was the second time we sat at the same table and I found that you brought the same beligerant, anti social attitude to the game as you did on our previous exchange. Upon minutes of your arrival at the table you were complaining about a player asking the dealer to count the pot, a hand I might add, that you had absolutely no involvement in. Irritated by the fact that the house wouldnt bow to your interpretation of the rules, you spent the next hour or so eagerly observing play until you found a situation where you could again try to impose yourself on the governing of the game. Finally a situation arose that had you wallowing in glee. I was sitting in trap 3 [co] announced raise and placed some chips over the line .The ever vigilant rounders then noticed that my cards, although protected by my hands and a chip, were slightly over the line and demanded that they retreat. I reflected on the incident for a few seconds and surmised my options. Do I [a] take my cards back across the line and apologise to the plilistine failing to adhere to his anal interpretation of the rules or do I totally ignore him ?. I chose the latter option and admit to taking some satisfaction in watching te steam come out of the villains ears. On what was essentially, a party night for the patrons of CHLs, it was rather disappointing to have to endure the presence of such an unpleasant being on what was otherwise a fun night. If playing live poker and having to interact with other human beings grates you so much, then stick to your PC.

PS If it makes you feel any better, the dealer apologised for your embarassing behavour after you left, so dont feel too bad if you come back to play with us again

    Cheers,
    Conor

lol and i didt forget the first time i played with youeither. On that previous occasion the first thing you said in reference to me was "lol thats this guys only move al in all in lol havent you got any other move.

The line is there for a reason. You are meant to keep your cards behind the line for obvious reasons, You can confuse players behind you to muck out of turn and you can make the dealer make a mistake by mucking your cards. I requested you just move your cards back to your side of the line and you refused. Oh im so sorry to have put you to such a huge decision. I thought that it was extremely ignorant and clasless of you that you didnt take your cards back over the line but i let it go and i noticed you brought your cards that much futher back with every hand after this as not to lose face which was fair enough.

Earlier a player asked the dealer to to count the pot. Now in any club i have ever played a tournament in it is not allowed for a dealer to do so on request. A dealer can spread a pot but not count it in a tournament. I was surprised the dealer told me that this was a new policy in this club but that i was prepared to accept even if i didnt agree with it. end of.

When i asked you to take your cards the proper side of the line you brought up that i was taking exception to everything, feference to my earlier query of the counting of the pot. lol

The line is a visual aid only, not an international border.

The line is an "action line". You can play your cards over the line, no problem. If your chips are released over it by an action or when the action is on you, they are in play.

The point is that even if there was no line imprinted on the table, Rounders123 would probably have made one up. Anything to start an arguement, such was his mood of beligerance. I can be quite obliging is such circumstances, if somebody wants to make a show of themselves I will do my best to accomodate them. His alias Rounders123 is interesting, Id guess thats probably as far as he can go in his counting.
