That looks awfully good. Pixar have yet to disappoint and so far Wall-E looks like it could be their best yet. 2008 is shaping up to be a great year for film.

Wall-E is the most obnoxiously cute character since Boo.
And I'm pretty sure I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Can't wait, although knowing Pixar, we'll probably have to wait for months after American release to get to see it :(

I dunno, I thought Ratatouille was the only Pixar movie with said ridiculously late release date, which was VERY ridiculous

Nah, Wall-E should be out July 18th here, a week before The Dark Knight :)

Monsters Inc. is still my favourite Pixar film. Wall-e looks all kinds of deadly though.

Wall-E is utterly adorable. Consider it a charter offence now to say anything even slightly mean about him :)

Heh... In light of the above, I knew I should have started a topic on this when I first saw the trailer....

    I'll just say this:
Cars got a lot of criticism for being generic, boring, and predictable. I quite liked it, and as someone with two small kids you soon learn which films are well made and have legs, and which ones aren't. I rate it higher than Nemo, certainly.

Wall-E looks like being one of the worst films of the year. I thought when I saw the first shots "Oh god they're remaking Short Circuit". Now I think "Oh god they're remaking Short Circuit 2". Looks very very cheesy, doesn't look to have any of Pixar's ingenuity or intellectual charm, and I can't stand the lead character.

I think it was I Watch Stuff that said "I just realised these are all set-ups from a Rob Schneider film". That was a lightbulb moment for me - he's dead right. Pixar made their reputation being clever, and not following the mould of Disney films. This isn't a step backwards for them, it's a big step sideways, much bigger than Cars was.

I think June 27th can be renamed adorable day as Wall-E looks to be just the most adorable thing ever. Damn he's so cute it's hard not to go alled gooey eyes over him.

But this is going to be HEAVILY character based cause there very little dialog to keep it going - i think I heard there won't be any dialog for the first 30minutes or an hour, so if the character doesn't have any charm to its actions, then this movie is going to bomb something awful.

Personally I think the animation looks fantastic, and I think it looks very funny already. The only thing I do agree with you on is the resemblance to Short Circut.

Not much of a wait, it's out July 18th here. Wait a week and do a double bill with The Dark Knight :)
